Board Denies Property Tax Exemption to International Royal Order of Jesters

“The Jesters’ main function, as Mr. Rogers repeatedly testified, is to promote the members’ fraternalism, spreading mirth and cheerfulness and promoting good fellowship. To the extent charity exists in that mission, the Board holds that it is insufficient to support a finding that the property owned by the Jesters is exempt.”
