NWI Reports Munster School Referendum Voters "Tardy"

Voter interest appears tepid in the first week of the early voting period for the Munster school referendum.
The Lake County election board reported only 46 people have cast absentee ballots by mail or in person since voting began April 8.
School Town of Munster officials are asking registered voters living in Munster to raise taxes 19.9 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. They said this is needed to prevent significant cutbacks in school operations.
