Delaware County property owners should be getting their
property tax bills soon.
County Treasurer John Dorer said this week that tax
statements should be mailed to property owners on Friday, which means that taxpayers
will receive them shortly afterward.
The deadline for paying the spring installment of
property taxes is Friday, May 10.
Taxpayers may pay in person, by mail or by using the
online credit card payment option on the Delaware County website.
Dorer urged that taxpayers not wait until just before the
May 10 deadline to pay because of the possibility of long lines. He said an
extra "service point" for address changes and information requests
will be available in the lobby of the Delaware County Building.
To view a statement or pay by credit card, taxpayers
should use the Web address: co.delaware.in.us. To send payments by mail,
address them to: Delaware County treasurer, Room 102, 100 W. Main St., Muncie,
IN 47305.
