Columbus City Council on Tuesday approved three tax abatements.
- A request from CyberMetrix to expand and refurbish a building on South Mapleton Street that will be used for a large test cell for testing engines in extreme environments. The company plans to retain 38 jobs and add 20 new jobs by 2016.
- A request from Flambeau Inc. to add new injection molding equipment and a crane to move dies at its Middle Road plant. The company plans to add 10 new jobs by early next year as a result of the expansion and retain 88 jobs. The company plans to increase its production of plastic automotive parts.
- A request to designate property on County Road 450S as an economic revitalization area and a tax abatement request from Cummins Inc. for a $17 million warehouse distribution center. The company plans to move 80 employees to the facility and add 25 employees through a contractor.
