A memo is being drafted on the procedures the Boone County Council must follow if it decides to adopt a Local Option Highway User Tax. County Attorney Bob Clutter was asked by Councilman Gene Thompson to prepare the memo, after an outline of the LOHUT was presented by Richard Demonkos, a training specialist with the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program, at Tuesday’s council meeting.
