IBJ Reports Bio-Response Offered Incentives for Expansion in Hendricks County

A Hendricks County company that makes equipment to purify wastewater generated by universities, research facilities and pharmaceutical companies is expanding, Indiana Economic Development Corp. announced Monday morning.

Bio-Response Solutions Inc., founded in 2006 and headquartered in Pittsboro, will spend $1.1 million to build and equip a facility in nearby Danville Commerce Park to contain its entire operation. The 14,500-square-foot project will result in 25 additional jobs by 2016, the company said.

In addition to the wastewater equipment, Bio-Response builds alkaline hydrolysis equipment for disposing of animal carcasses and human bodies.

The company received commitments from IEDC for as much as $160,000 in tax credits and as much as $95,000 in training grants based upon how many workers it hires. Danville and Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership also offered tax abatements.

The facility is expected to be in operation in early 2014.
