Marion County Homestead Credit Review Commission Meeting Scheduled for June 18th

Our City-County Councilors invite you to attend the upcoming Homestead Credit Review Commission meeting on Tuesday, June 18th.  The meeting is being held at 7:30pm at Ben Davis High School auditorium, located at 1200 North Girls School Road - you can enter the auditorium through door #2.

This is 6th and final opportunity for homeowners to engage the Commission before the City-County Council takes a vote on June 24th.  The Commission is made up of City-County Councilors, the Marion County Assessor, City-County Controller, and representatives of the Health Care and Real Estate community.

The agenda for the meeting calls for the Commission to address the following:
  • What the Homestead Credit is and what it isn't
  • Discuss why this action is being considered by the Council
  • Offer specific information on how the potential elimination of the Homestead Credit would affect you as a homeowner
  • Take questions from those in attendance
