From the Logansport Pharos Tribune:
Six properties will be open for bidding Wednesday at a Cass County sheriff’s sale.
The sale will be conducted by Synergistic Resources Integration Inc., known as SRI, an Indianapolis-based company that has conducted all of Cass County’s tax, deed and foreclosure sales since 2011.
Properties offered in the sale have been repossessed by banks after owners have fallen behind on their mortgage payments. The sheriff’s department hosts a sale at 1:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month at 100 Court Park, Logansport.
Cindy Edmiston, client development manager of sheriff’s sales at SRI, said mortgage holders generally won’t send minimum bids on properties until a day or two before the sale.

As of Friday afternoon, judgment costs for the properties listed in Wednesday’s sale ranged from about $47,000 to about $900,000.
Winning bidders are required to pay their full purchase price for any properties the day of the sale. Unlike other county property sales, there is no waiting period for a sheriff’s sale and those who cast the winning bid can take full ownership of the property that day.
Although property taxes on the listed properties have been paid by the banks enacting the foreclosures, Susie Quaglio, a secretary at the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, urges potential bidders to seek legal advice when considering properties in order to find out if there are any liens.
“I suggest people talk with their attorney or do a title search on a property before they buy it to make sure there aren’t any hidden surprises,” Quaglio said.
A list of the properties, which is subject to change, can be accessed at sri-taxsale.com/County/CASS. The list includes information on properties’ locations, plaintiffs, attorneys and judgment amounts.
