From the Indianapolis Star:
Miller Pipeline announced today that it will expand its Indianapolis headquarters and create up to 48 new jobs by 2016.
Miller Pipeline, a wholly owned subsidiary of Evansville-based Vectren Corp., will invest $5.3 million to build and equip a facility on its 34-acre campus, according to a news release. The 52,000-square-foot facility will be fully operational by 2014. It will house maintenance and fabrication shops, material handling and shipping areas, a training center and administrative support offices.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered the pipeline installer $200,000 in tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the job creation plans. The tax credits will only be given after Hoosiers are hired.
Indianapolis also has approved a tax abatement.
