Tribune Reports Satellite Industries Offered Incentives for Investment in Elkhart and Bristol

Satellite Industries Inc., a global supplier of portable sanitation equipment, announced plans Friday to locate operations in Elkhart and Bristol, creating up to 70 new jobs by 2017.

The announcement was made by the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
 
The company, which has U.S. headquarters in Minnesota and European headquarters in Belgium, will invest $6.9 million over a number of years to establish distribution and manufacturing operations in Indiana.

The IEDC offered the company up to $675,000 in conditional tax credits contingent on its job creation plans. Bristol also offered tax abatement.
 
The company will lease and equip a 13,000-square-foot facility in Elkhart. In August, it will move into a new 106,000 square-foot manufacturing facility on a 22-acre campus in Bristol.
 
Satellite will begin hiring warehouse management, assembly, warehouse and office administration positions this spring.
