Daily Reporter Reports Impact of Tax Caps Soften in Hancock County

From the Greenfield Daily Reporter:

Officials in local schools and towns for the most part don’t have to worry as much this year about the impact of property tax caps as they did last year.

The Hancock County auditor’s office released data to local units of government earlier this month stating how much revenue each would not be able to collect – $7.4 million – because of the caps. That’s a decrease from last year’s $12.7 million figure.
