The certified vote count of citizens for and against a $6.5 million bond project to renovate the Brown County Courthouse is in, showing that for every resident that supported the tax increase, eight were opposed.
After sorting through reams of petitions submitted last week to verify that those signing were either registered voters or property owners, Brown County Clerk Beth Mulry has released the final tally: 182 for and 1,457 against.
