Journal-Gazette Reports ChromaSource and Red Star Manufacturing Approved for Tax Phase-ins for Investments in Whitley County

From the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette:

ChromaSource is spending $1.1 million on new equipment and adding 12 jobs by next year to its existing workforce of 110.

The Columbia City company at 2433 S. County Road 600 East makes color systems and color cards, such as those used by customers to choose the ideal hue for their kitchens and bedrooms.

CEO Jason Brooks said the company is adding production equipment in its 200,000-square-foot operation to meet increased customer demand.

Also, Red Star Manufacturing Inc., a Larwill-based company, is investing $180,000 to buy equipment and expand its manufacturing floor by about 1,200 square feet.

The company, a contract manufacturer of insert injection molds for the medical device industry, expects to add one full-time and one part-time employee by fall to its staff of seven.

The Whitley County Council on Tuesday approved tax phase-ins for both projects.
