The Wayne County commissioners will hold a deed sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday to try to sell properties where the owners have not paid property taxes for the past 18 months.
The sale will be in Council Chambers at the Wayne County Administration Building, 401 E. Main St. in Richmond.
Twenty-nine properties are for sale, although the city of Richmond will purchase 17 properties as part of its ongoing blight elimination effort.
That leaves 12 properties, mostly vacant pieces of land, that will be for sale.
The city of Richmond will buy the parcels for the cost of title searches and legal advertising. Estimated cost for the 17 properties is about $4,250.
