IBJ Reports Standard Register Offered Incentives for Investment in Jeffersonville

From the Indianapolis Business Journal

The Standard Register Co. said it will locate a new national print and distribution center in Jeffersonville, creating up to 360 jobs by 2016.

The Dayton, Ohio-based business communications firm will invest nearly $10 million to lease and renovate a 335,000-square-foot building in the River Ridge Commerce Center. The facility, which is expected to be in operation this summer, will house digital printing, kitting and distribution operations.

Some operations from existing Standard Register facilities will be transferred to the new center. Among the advantages of the Jeffersonville site is its proximity to the United Parcel Service’s Worldport air hub at Louisville International Airport, the company said.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Standard Register up to $2.3 million in conditional tax credits and up to $175,000 in training grants based on the firm’s job-creation plans.
