Star Reports Celadon Trucking Offered Incentives for Expansion in Indianapolis

Celadon Trucking Services today announced plans to locate a driving school in Indianapolis and create up to 500 jobs by 2022.

Joined by Gov. Mike Pence, company executives outlined plans to invest $5.7 million to build a 61,000-square-foot training facility at 9050 E. 33rd St. near its Indianapolis headquarters, according to the Indiana Economic Development Corp. In addition to the school, the building will house dorm rooms, a cafeteria, workout facilities and a driver training road course. Facility construction is expected to be complete by the fall.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Celadon Trucking Services up to $2.95 million in conditional tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans.
