Polaris Laboratories will spend $2.9 million to expand into a new building on the city’s Northwestside.
After the move, the environmental testing company will add 40 jobs to its 131-person workforce by 2017, it told the city in a tax
abatement request.

The Metropolitan Development Commission will vote Wednesday on giving Polaris a five-year property tax
abatement worth $70,062.

Polaris said it has outgrown its headquarters at 7898 Zionsville Road and plans to lease 61,000 square feet at 7451 Winton Drive for its new offices
and labs.

The new jobs will pay an average of $12.32 an hour.
