S&H Metal Products Inc. plans to expand its operations.
Last fall, the custom sheet metal company, based in Topeka, purchased a new building about a half mile from its current location, giving the company an additional 20,000 square feet of space.
Now, it is purchasing about $800,700 in new manufacturing
equipment for both of its locations.

The town of Topeka, at the request of the LaGrange County Economic Development Corp., approved a phase-in of personal property taxes on the new equipment for up to 10 years.
"We've worked with them on projects in the past," said Keith Gillenwater, president andchief executive officer
of the Economic Development Corp., referring to S&H. He said the company completed a larger expansion project last year that was supported by the state.
