Daily Reporter Reports Funding Infusion Will Ease Paving Woes in Hancock County

From the Greenfield Daily Reporter:

With construction barrels dotting roadways and paving equipment already laying ribbons of new asphalt in Hancock County, local street departments are bracing for a busy year of road improvement projects.

And now that the state Legislature has approved a boost in funds for roadwork, officials are planning for even more construction in the next two years.

It’s been a week since the Indiana General Assembly approved the two-year budget that puts more fuel tax money into the hands of city, county and state street departments. Local officials are just now receiving word of what kind of increase to expect.
