The Jackson County Council put its stamp of approval Wednesday night on a tax abatement request for a Reddington machine shop buying a piece of equipment and adding two jobs.
“They’ve told me this will allow them to secure a pretty good customer,” Jim Plump said while making an $85,000 tax abatement request for Integrity Manufacturing Inc.
Plump, executive director of Jackson County Industrial Development Corp., made that request during the council’s monthly meeting at the courthouse annex.
Granting the request will allow Larry and Beverly Bryant, who own Integrity Manufacturing Inc. at 10350 N. U.S. 31, to buy and install a CNC lathe. A CNC lathe is a computer-controlled machine.
Integrity Manufacturing was founded in 1998.
