MasterBrand Cabinets plans to invest $574,000 in equipment that will add capacity and expand the product offerings at its 484,500-square-foot facility located at 1002 Eisenhower Drive N.

"We are not adding square footage to the building," Jacobs said. "We are rearranging inside and adding tools and equipment."

MasterBrand Cabinets currently employs more than 780 in Goshen. It is the largest cabinet maker in North America, with 14 facilities employing 9,000 people.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered MasterBrand Cabinets up to $350,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $80,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. The tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Goshen supported the project at the request of the Economic Development Corp. of Elkhart County, according to the IEDC.
