Indigo Biosystems Inc. has invested $1.4 million to lease, renovate and equip 10,580 square feet of office space on the city's Far Northside, according to a release from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Indigo Biosystems Inc. up to $700,000 in conditional tax credits, the release stated, and up to $50,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. The tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company is not eligible to claim incentives until it hires Indiana workers to fill the jobs.
Indigo currently has approximately 30 employees at its Indianapolis office, the release stated, including engineers, mathematicians, scientists and project managers.
