The like-new truck part business is bringing a corporate expansion in Plainfield.

Meritor said it will add 82 jobs in Plainfield next year when it consolidates its remanufacturing operations there.

As part of the consolidation, the Michigan-based supplier to the trucking industry said it will build a center of excellence at its Plainfield facility at 849 Whitaker Road.

Meritor will transfer business from Mississagua, Ontario to Plainfield, the company told the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
