A vote that could decide whether Goshen schools will get a $17 million renovation is just days away.
Residents will take part in a referendum to decide the district’s fate on Tuesday. For months, the administration has been presenting information to the community about what the project entails, mostly highlighting a new pool at the high school and more classroom space for music students.
The catch is, taxpayers will be picking up the tab.
“We understand that people don't want to pay additional taxes I mean we all feel that way I would say,” said Superintendent Diane Woodworth. “But I think the needs we have in the district, we want to be competitive and we want to attract families
to move to Goshen, and in order to do that, one of things is we need to have up to date facilities."Residents can vote absentee beforehand. Ballots are available at the voter registration office on Second St.
