Boone County Considers Property Tax Increase

From the Lebanon Reporter:

Property owners could see their tax bills increase if the County Council approves action to reverse a trend that is draining the county’s cumulative capital development (CCD) fund.

Tuesday, the council voted unanimously to advertise the maximum allowable increase in the CCD levy.

The county’s CCD is a third of what is allowed by state law. It generates about $450,000 a year, County Council President Steve Jacob said Tuesday.
