Circle-Prosco Offered Incentives for Expansion in Bloomington

Circle-Prosco Inc., a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals for the metal finishing industry, is expanding in Bloomington.

The expansion will add 11 new jobs by 2015, according to a company news release.

A Bloomington-based employer, the company plans to invest $4.3 million at the new facility, including new machinery and equipment, computer hardware and building improvements, according to the release. Company headquarters is at 401 N. Gates Drive on Bloomington’s west side, and its second location will be in an existing building at 303 N. Curry Pike.

The company produces aluminum and steel coating, lubricants, aqueous cleaners and rust preventatives.

Ron Walker, president of the Bloomington Economic Development Corp., said in a prepared statement that the new jobs will add directly or indirectly about $450,000 annually to payrolls here.

The company has been offered up to $60,000 in conditional tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corp., based on job creation.
