How Much will the "Town" of Center Grove Cost Taxpayers?

From Vic Ryckaert in the Indianapolis Star:

You’ve heard all the talk over forming the town of Center Grove and you really only care about one thing: What’s this going to cost?

About $66 a year.

According to the Indianapolis accounting firm Umbaugh & Associates, the owners of a $100,000 home in the newly formed town would pay $66.40 a year in property taxes. The owner of a business valued at $500,000 would pay $1,013.80 a year. A farmer with 100 acres would pay $330.50.
