Courier Times Reports Henry County Tax Bills in the Mail

From the New Castle Courier-Times:

Henry County home owners should be receiving their 2013 pay 2014 property tax statements in the mail soon. Those who don't receive them by May 1 should contact the Henry County Treasurer's office.

Failure to receive a tax statement by mail does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility for payment and penalties when delinquent, said Henry County Treasurer Gene Bundy.

Spring taxes will be due by May 13 and can be paid at the treasurer's office from 7 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday; and 7 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. on Friday. The Treasurer's office is closed on Mondays, and from noon to 1 p.m. every day. The Treasurer's office phone is 765-529-4404.

Payments can also be mailed to P.O. Box 1258, New Castle, IN 47362 or paid at the following banks: Ameriana, Citizens, First Merchants, Main Source and Star Financial. Use a credit card by calling 1-866-480-8552 or pay online at www. henryco.net. Credit card payments are charged a 3 percent processing fee.

People can now find their taxes on line at www.henryco.net (under assessor's office) or by conducting a search for beacon.com.

For questions on assessments, call the Henry County Assessor, 765-529-2104. For questions on exemptions and rates, call the Henry County Auditor, 765-529-2800. For questions on drains, call the Drainage Board, 765-529-4802.
