Monroe County taxpayers can see how county government is spending every penny, thanks to a “Financial Updates” Web page the Monroe County Auditor’s Office announced at Friday’s county commissioners meeting.
The data only goes back to mid-May, but the office plans to provide current data each month.
One downloadable PDF file, which is 60 pages long, shows the claims, or expenses, the commissioners have approved and which county budget covered the expense.
Another seven-page PDF file documents county account balances as of May 31.
