"Advics Manufacturing Indiana LLC on Tuesday received a unanimous vote of the Vigo County Council for final approval of a 10-year personal property tax abatement as the company plans to add $15.26 million of new equipment.
The new equipment, used to produce parking brakes and brake booster and master cylinders, will add a new assembly line and is to create 35 new jobs with an annual payroll of $1,050,000, said Louis Britton, attorney representing the company.
The new equipment does not include nearly $1 million of equipment moved from another facility in Indiana, Britton said. Advics was formerly called Aisin Brake and Chassis, but was acquired by Advics in July 2010. The company reported having 384 workers as of Dec. 31, 2010."
