From the Indianapolis Star:
Elanco, a division of Eli Lilly and Co., is seeking a tax break that could help it add 200 jobs in Hancock County.
The company wants a property tax abatement from the Greenfield City Council.
Elanco employs 520 people in Greenfield. Its building is at more than 90 percent capacity, said Elanco spokesman Ted McKinney. The tax abatement, he said, would help Elanco build new office space to expand.
The new jobs would be in marketing, manufacturing and human resources, among other areas, and would pay an average of $60,000.
