Richmond Approves Abatement for B&F Plastics

The Richmond Common Council on Monday night unanimously approved a 10-year tax abatement on equipment for B&F Plastics. The move will retain 69 jobs and create eight new jobs, according to the Richmond company.

B&F Plastics plans to buy and install a new plastics extrusion line for a total cost of $630,000.
Councilman Bruce Wissel, chairman of the council’s tax abatement committee, said the move will allow the company to raise production by 5 million pounds of plastic per year.

The abatement committee recommended the project for council approval.
