Tax Change Results in No Increase in Rensselaer

Notice of adoption of two taxes has residents concerned about a property tax increase.

The Jasper County Commissioners approved two resolutions regarding the Cumulative Bridge Fund and the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund.

During a recent commissioners' meeting, commissioners decided to change the tax funding from the Cumulative Bridge Fund to the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund.
