Also Monday, the City Council:
* Unanimously approved a 10-year tax phase-in with Professional Transportation Inc., part of United Companies. The company last month announced it is acquiring a former competitors and adding up to 100 jobs at its Morgan Avenue location within three years.
Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville President Debbie Dewey said between the tax phase-in is an offer to split the cost of some job training for employees of the company, PTI is to receive $356,000 in city assistance.
But Dewey said PTI's jobs over 10 years could be worth $127 million of economic impact for the area. She told City Council that a software program produced that figure.
