Courier Reports Fall Taxes Due November 12th in Jefferson County

From the Madison Courier:

The fall installment of Jefferson County personal and property taxes is due by Nov. 12.

Tax payments may be made at the treasurer's office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will be closed for Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Payments also may be made at River Valley Financial Bank or Farmers Bank of Milton on Clifty Drive beginning Monday. A tax bill must be presented with the payment.

Use of a credit or debit card will require an additional fee of 3.5 percent of the tax bill if paid at the treasurer's office or 5 percent if paid by phone.
