Instructions for Fall Property Tax Payments in Delaware, Monroe County, Wabash and Elkhart Counties

The fall installment of property taxes in Delaware County is due Nov. 12.

Payments can be made in the county treasurer's office, on the first floor of the Delaware County Building, or online through co.delaware.in.us (click on the property tax information link).

Local financial institutions accepting payments include Ball State Federal Credit Union, First County Federal Credit Union, First Merchants Bank, ICFCU, MutualBank, Old National Bank, PrimeTrust Financial and STAR Financial Bank.

An information desk to help taxpayers will be set up in the lobby of the county building. The treasurer's office will be closed for three days after the payment deadline.

The fall installment of property taxes is due to the Monroe County Treasurer’s Office by Tuesday.

The treasurer’s office will be closed Monday for Veterans Day, but will be open for extended hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and on Tuesday to accommodate those who would like to pay in person. The office is on the second floor of the Monroe County Courthouse.

About half of Wabash County residents have not yet paid their fall property taxes, as the Wabash County Treasurer’s Office prepares for an influx of last-minute payments.


“The deadline is on Tuesday, and we expect that morning will be very busy,” Wabash County Treasurer Sharon Shaw told the Plain Dealer.

Elkhart County Treasurer Jackie Meyers reminds property owners that the second installment of 2013 property taxes is due by Tuesday. The fall payment coupons were mailed with the spring payment coupons in April of this year. Property tax information or statement copies are available at www.invoicecloud.com/elkhart.The County Treasurer’s Office is open Mondays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. County offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day Monday.

Taxpayers who mail their payments should make sure their envelopes are postmarked by Tuesday to avoid a penalty. Taxpayers can also pay online at www.invoicecloud.com/elkhart or by calling 1-888-881-9911. The following banks also accept property tax payments: Lake City, 1st Source, First State Bank of Middlebury, Indiana Community, Old National, and Interra Credit Union.

Taxpayers can contact the Treasurer’s Office by phone (535-6759 or 535-6729) or by email (treasurer@elkhartcounty.com). Questions regarding deductions should be directed to the County Auditor’s Office (535-6710 or 535-6720). Questions regarding assessments for property located in Concord Township should be directed to the Concord Township Assessor’s Office (523-2217). Questions regarding assessments for all other property in the county should be directed to the County Assessor’s Office (535-6700).
