Hancock County Public Library Considers Lowering Tax Rate

From the Greenfield Daily Reporter:

There is a stockpile of several million dollars in Hancock County’s Economic Development Income Tax fund which funds local libraries. Hancock County Public Library’s board of trustees at its 7 p.m. meeting today will consider asking the county council to lower its portion of the funds for now, and therefore the amount of tax collected.
