The Richmond Common Council this week unanimously approved a 10-year tax abatement for Vandor Corporation for a $2.47 million project that is expected to create two new jobs.
Vandor, which has been on the city’s northwest side since the early 1970s, builds and sells caskets and metal reels and is involved in manufacturing of plastics. The abatement is to add a line to its plastic division.
Vandor has developed plastic products for the wire and cable, casket and automotive industries. Vandor employs 47.
