The Town Council has unanimously approved a resolution granting a tax abatement request for Prime Conveyor, which is planning to expand its facility at 8903 Louisiana St.
Prime Conveyor is seeking 10-year real estate and five-year personal property tax abatement for the project, which will add about 12,000 square feet of production space.
The expansion will create three new jobs at the business, each of which will have salaries around $51,000, town leaders said.
The Economic Development Committee also approved the tax abatement.
