From the Johnson County Daily Journal:
Redeveloping the site of a former Franklin lumber yard, improving main roads in the city and a new corridor leading to the interstate all are on a list of possible projects that could be funded with tax dollars.
Some of the projects have been on a wish list for seven years or more, and others were added recently.
Members of the Franklin Redevelopment Commission want to develop a new list showing what projects they actually want to do so they can plan for them and find ways to pay for them.
The city board hired Stephen Watson, an attorney who also works for the Greenwood Redevelopment Commission, to do an assessment of the board’s income, planned spending and proposed projects.
