ThyssenKrupp Presta Awarded Tax Credits for Expansion in Terre Haute

From the Indianapolis Business Journal:

A manufacturer of automotive steering systems in Terre Haute announced Monday morning that it plans to add 120 jobs by 2013 as part of a $22 million expansion.

ThyssenKrupp Presta Terre Haute LLC said the investment will go toward adding three assembly lines and expanding its manufacturing facility in Vigo County by nearly 70,000 square feet. Construction is scheduled to begin immediately and conclude by October.

ThyssenKrupp Presta, which has 200 employees in Terre Haute, will begin hiring additional workers this spring for engineering, logistics and supply-chain management, material handling and maintenance positions.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said it will provide the company up to $1 million in performance-based tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company’s job-creation plans. Vigo County will consider additional property-tax abatements.
