Members of the Monroe County Council will host a public meeting on the proposed expansion of the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center and the proposed county-wide food and beverage tax that would fund the expansion.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 at Redman Hall, 7400-block of S. Strain Ridge Road, in Smithville.
Short presentations will be made by representatives from the convention center, visitors center and county council, followed by a question and answer session. More information is available from the county council office at 349-7312.
