The Porter County Council is turning to its peers at the
municipal level to seek help in covering an estimated $2 million annual
shortfall for Enhanced 911 expected to hit by the middle of next year.

from the county income tax.
Council President Dan Whitten, D-at large, said he will
invite representatives from the various cities and towns to the next council
meeting to discuss the situation in public.
