From the Terre Haute Tribune Star:

Vigo County can expect about $5 million in additional CAGIT and EDIT funds from the State of Indiana after a computer error was discovered recently in Indianapolis.

State officials announced today that Vigo County got shortchanged by about $1.4 million in CAGIT funds in 2011 and was set to be shortchanged another $1.66 million this year. The county was shorted more than $930,000 in EDIT funds in 2011 and was set to be shortchanged another $1.1 million in 2012.

The county’s CAGIT money is distributed to all of the taxing entities in Vigo County, which include schools, public libraries and townships, said Kylissa Miller, chief deputy auditor. EDIT money is distributed to the City of Terre Haute, the Vigo County government, Seelyville, Riley and West Terre Haute.
