News-Sentinel Reports AITF Services Applies for Tax Phase-In for Expansion in Huntertown

From the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel:

A $460,000 expansion is expected to create eight jobs at a Huntertown firm.

According to an application for a tax “phase in” filed with the Allen County Department of Planning Services, AITF Services, which designs and manufactures automation equipment, plans to invest $300,000 in its 11,400-square-foot facility at 14220 Plank St., plus another $160,000 in new equipment.

If approved by Huntertown Town Council, the phase-in – previously known as an abatement – would reduce the company's taxes on the improvements by about $36,500 over seven years.

The new equipment is expected to be installed by June 2014.
