Star Reports Reflex & Allen Offered Incentives for Investment in Indianapolis

From the Indianapolis Star:

An Italian automotive parts manufacturer announced plans Tuesday to locate its U.S. headquarters in Indianapolis and to hire nearly 100 workers in the process.

Reflex & Allen Group, a manufacturer of pneumatic, electrical and fluid systems for truck and engine markets, is recruiting up to 97 extrusion and general operators as part of its Indianapolis expansion, according to a news release.

David Blackburn, managing director and general manager of Reflex & Allen North America, said the company decided to locate its U.S. headquarters in Indianapolis due to the state’s supply base, customer base and low manufacturing costs, among other factors.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Reflex & Allen Group up to $500,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $28,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans, the release said. The company can’t claim the incentives until Hoosiers are hired.
