The city council Monday night approved a property-tax increase that will generate additional money to be used for road improvements.
In the same 5-2 vote, with T.J. Brink and Tim Salters again opposing the increase, the council passed on second and third readings an ordinance that will increase the Cumulative Capital Development Fund rate to raise an estimated $100,000.
