From the Jeffersonville News and Tribune:
Clark County Treasurer David Reinhardt announced that properties will be eligible for the tax sale if taxes on delinquent properties and penalties — originally due May 10, 2011 — are not paid by June 30.
The preliminary listing had more than 1,200 parcels that would be eligible for the tax sale. Public notice of the sale will be published according to state statute. After July 1, all delinquent taxes, penalties and special assessments, plus any tax sale charges which may be applicable must be paid to avoid going to auction, according to the release.
The tax sale for the aforementioned properties has been set for Sept. 17 at the Clark County Government Building.
For more information contact the treasurer’s office at 812-285-6205; by email at Treasurer@co.clark.in.us; or by visiting the office in the Clark County Government Building, 501 E. Court Ave., Room 125 in Jeffersonville. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
