Star Reports Blue Crew Sports Grill to Reopen in Indianapolis After Resolving Tax Debt

Randy Collins, owner of the Indianapolis Colts-themed Blue Crew Sports Grill, reopened his restaurant Friday afternoon after he resolved a debt of $16,000 in back taxes with the Indiana Department of Revenue.

“Both sides are satisfied, and it’s time to move on,” Collins told The Indianapolis Star. “It’s NFL season. Go, Colts!”

Collins admitted he had missed four tax payments, which jeopardized his registered retail merchant certificate.

The restaurant, located at 7035 E. 96th St., was shut down in May due to $75,000 owed in back rent, but Colts owner Jim Irsay provided financial assistance then to get it reopened.

Collins declined to name his new investor but said there are plans to upgrade the business, including improved TVs and floors
